Results and suggested actions to reduce food loss in Sweden

The report summarises the results of eight reports on food losses in the production of beef, pork, milk, fish and shellfish, milled wheat, potatoes, carrots and strawberries. Food losses are presented in terms of weight, share of production, and the economic losses and climate impact they generate. The importance of a more resource-efficient food production is discussed in terms of the three dimensions of sustainability. The report suggests ten areas for action and looks ahead to what needs to be done to turn more of the production into food.
